May 2010 Christian Louboutin Sale

Went to the Christian Louboutin sale today and was super lucky to find a girl who was willing to let me be her plus 1!!! I really owe her...this totally shows that us girls unite to help strangers when necessary aka sample sales haha.

So no surprise I only had budget for one pair of shoes....since I went conservative during the Nov sale, this sale I decided to go 'over the top' and this is what I got:
It was $325!!!! I am really happy with my decision...it was a tough one, here was my first runner up (I am pale, so the color really fades on me and it made my foot look fatter):
($325 as well)

And second runner up were these (didn't get these because 1. I have a pair of shoes in this style and 2. my friend liked it, so I let her own those shoes):
($400)

DecadesTwo Sale

This year I am trying to pick and choose my sales wisely...I need to buy 3 new dresses for 3 weddings in Nov....so sadly I passed on D&G. I know I'd get something...but I don't think I'd be able to wear it to the weddings. Instead I hit Decades Two and will also try Issey (Friday or Saturday).

Today I stopped by the Decades Two sale around 6:30pm and I was able to just walk right up...with no line. There weren't any shoes my size (I'm an 38) that got my attention...but that's ok because I will go again Sunday when they bring out more shoes!!!! For even lower prices!!!! The shoe sizes at the sale ran small (a lot of 36s), prices were about 200 and up.

However, I was super close to buying a second hand Balenciaga...handbags are an additional 20% off...it was the Balenciaga whistle bag. I walked away because I already have a lot of box shaped bags...so I just hope I don't wake up kicking myself tomorrow morning. Besides, if it is still there Sunday...it was definitely meant to be ;)

The clothes were still expensive...but then again, I don't spend that kind of dough on clothes, so it is probably a deal to other people. Bag prices ranged from 500 and up, I saw LV, Chanel, Fendi, Stella, Marc, Balen and so forth. Shoes...I saw a lot of Louboutins, but like I said earlier they were mainly 36s, so if that is your size, I totally recommend stopping by the sale. I was excited for Nicholas Kirkwood, however, one saw one pair...they were new but not my size :(

o well...stay tuned for Sunday...

Studded flats

I am glad I didn't get the flat Louboutins because I found this pair in Thailand for a steal at Siam Square. It was a substitute for walking away from the Louboutins. Little didn't I know, while I was on sigersonmorrison.com I noticed my shoe resembles theirs much more. I still love them and got a lot of wear while I was in Thailand.

Bergdorf's Sale & Bloomingdales shopping spree

Yesterday I dropped by Bergdorfs and had a blast in the shoe department. They had a decent bag selection, however, I have maxed my bag quota for the year. So walked straight past that part haha

I think yesterday just wasn't my day :( I fell in love with two pairs of shoes and both were just 1/2 a size too small. Neither were leather, so I didn't have much hope for stretching it out. The main pair that kept me there for over an hour was a pair of flat Christian Louboutins.
I was super close to buying them....but then finally my voice of reason (a friend who I was bbming with) stopped me. I guess it was a good thing I didn't buy them because I was able to do a lot more damage today haha. I think I was in love with them because it made my feet look nice and slender but that is probably due to the fact that it was 1/2 a size too small.

Fast forward to today, I had a ball in bloomingdales...I really think the our stars are aligned because I always walk out with my hands full of bags but an empty wallet. But I love everything I got.

1. A Marc bag for my mom
2. A DVF dress (I am holding on to this for a wedding)
3. A grey leather Alice and Olivia jacket

I found a lot of cool things for my sis, but didn't get them for her, because she shouldn't be using stuff that expensive at her age (we are 11 yrs apart). However, I think I will go back and get it for her now because for every 100s you spend at Bloomingdales today, you get a certificate of $15 off for future purchases of $75 and up. Since it starts tomorrow, I think I can justify the bag for my sis.

Gabay's Outlet

hey...I just stopped by Gabay's Outlet today (on 1st avenue - between 13th-14th st) and they have some really good stuff. Got the heads up from one of my usual blogs that they just got a new shipment.

The prices are really good for the shoes. Louboutins from 300-400. Nicholas Kirkwood shoes for 400!!!! (i would have totally bought a pair if I wasn't already broke....on top of that another big sale is starting Saturday) So I am gonna wait until next Saturday hehe...if I don't get anything, I am running back to Gabay's to get those Kirkwood shoes. (The Kirkwood's at the store look nothing like the photos...I am just adding in a few for fun)

Their selection on bags isn't as big...but they have really good choices. The affordable ones look a little used (but I actually like that cuz it already looks broken in). The ones in good condition are still a good deal - but not the kind of dough I should be dropping right now ;)
